Fieldpiece SIR2 is an affordable, stand-alone non-contact infrared thermometer with laser pointer. Measures of a circle with an area of a certain ratio of 6: 1 (and therefore from a distance of 12 cm diameter circle is 2 cm). The closer the end, the measuring area is smaller.

Unlike in the case of thermometers operate on the principle of resistance measurement, converts the infrared radiation SIR2 can start working immediately after the turn. Simply aim the thermometer at the target and press the scan button. The measured temperature is the average of all the values ​​recorded in sight. Thermistor thermometers (resistance thermometers) provide more accurate readings, while the infrared instrument should be used where the measurement is to be carried out quickly, and above all when it is not possible to touch the surface to be measured.
